James began his career in videogames as a playtester for LucasFilm Games.
James worked on Monkey Island 1 and 2, Star Wars NES, and Night Shift. After a brief stint at Maxis as a QA lead, he was hired by the Atari Corporation as a Producer, where he oversaw games in development for the handheld Lynx and then led the design and production of ‘Alien Versus Predator’ for the Jaguar console.

After helping design games for PlayStation, James moved toward the internet, joining Macromedia and was part of the original shockwave.com launch team, accepting the 2000 People’s Choice Webby Award for ‘Best Game Site’.

Since then, he co-founded a downloadable games company, worked on a social MMOG, produced games for i0s and Android, as well designing and producing award-winning educational game titles for LeapFrog, based on the Pixar movies ‘Ratatouille’ and ‘Wall-E’.
James currently enjoys life in Eugene Oregon.
